The following was published in 1929 by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (Jehovah's Witnesses) in the Preface of the book PROPHECY written by their second President J. F. Rutherford.
"Never before has there been a book published that makes clear so much of the prophecies of the Bible as this book. The author claims no credit therefore. He does not even attempt to interpret the prophecies. He sets forth the facts, well known to all, showing fulfillment of the prophecies and the proof that it is God's due time to reveal to man the understanding thereof." (PROPHECY p. 5)
Now keep in mind, this book stated on pages 65-66 "The Scriptural proof is that the second presence of the Lord Jesus Christ began in 1874 A. D. This proof is specifically set out in the booklet entitled Our Lord's Return."
Also keep in mind, they now teach that the Scriptural proof is that the second presence of Jesus Christ happened in 1914, a doctrinal change that wasn't made until 1943 according to their Proclaimers book.
